Hanover School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the name of the new school in Niverville. Opening in September 2019 and serving students in Grades 9-12, the facility will be named Niverville High School.

The school name was chosen after receiving community feedback from students, parents/guardians, staff, and community members. The board-appointed Naming Committee received over 100 name suggestions. The chosen name reflects feedback received, and aligns with the Board’s desire for the school name to retain its distinct community identity.

Coinciding with the opening of the new high school, Niverville Collegiate Institute will transition to Grades 5-8 and be renamed Niverville Middle School. The existing facility will undergo renovations to support the needs of the middle school curriculum.

The Board thanks all those who participated in the naming process. We look forward to the opening of Niverville High School.
